ON THE ISSUE OF STEREOTYPICAL AND INDIVIDUAL PECULIARITIES OF AUTHORS’ VERBAL BEHAVIOUR (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE GERMAN SOCIOLOGISTS’ TEXTS)

Abstract. The article analyzes the German sociologists’ texts within the speech strategy of hidden influence "the author’s account of a recipient’s awareness/ unawareness of the subject of the text in actualizing the causal relationship" with the purpose of identifying the individual and stereotypical peculiarities of their verbal behaviour. This analysis is based on the authors-sociologists’ choice of the dissected (subordinate clause) and generalized (prepositional-case construction) forms of causal relationship expression. This choice reflects the author's view of the level of the readers’ awareness of the subject of sociological research. The individual peculiarities of the authors’ speech behaviour are marked by significant deviations of the plans of awareness/unawareness from the average speech-genre indicators.
Key words and phrases: стереотипное речевое поведение, речевая стратегия, фоновые знания, речевой план актуализации причинных отношений, малая синтаксическая группа, среднеречежанровый показатель, stereotypical verbal behaviour, verbal strategy, background knowledge, verbal plan of causal relationship actualization, small syntactic group, average speech-genre indicator
