PECULIARITIES OF STRESS IN THE KARACHAY-BALKAR LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article analyzes the peculiarities of stress in the Karachay-Balkar language that can be found by studying the parts of speech, and when referring to a group of individuals in their native language. An attempt is made to solve one of the main objectives in the field of orthoepy that is to identify the prosodic feature, to determine the role of word stress in speech at the present stage of language development. The results of the analysis of linguistic material allow us to conclude about delimitative - dividing - function of the stress, its ability to mark the boundaries between words in the Karachay-Balkar language.
