Abstract. At the turn of the XX-XXI centuries a new sphere - the theory and history of literary reputations - appeared in literary criticism. There is a number of studies on this issue, but at the moment the final arrangement of this area is still in the process. It is assumed that one can use mathematical models to find ways of the further study of the theory and history of literary reputations. The research is expected to be carried out by the example of the Buryat literature.
