ON THE HISTORY OF GRAMMATICAL TRADITION: "GRAMMAR" BY MELETIUS SMOTRYTSKY OF 1619

Abstract. The article is devoted to "Grammar" by Meletius Smotrytsky of 1619, the composition of the paradigms, the unique peculiarities, the historical prerequisites of the appearance, the terminology and the degree of its influence on the following grammatical tradition. The grammatical forms, which were presented by Smotrytsky, are compared with the forms in the canonical text of the same period - The Ostrog Bible. While considering the term system the confrontation of "Grammar" by Smotrytsky and "Russian Grammar" by M. V. Lomonosov is conducted.
