THE SPIRIT-HOST OF FIRE AMONG THE YAKUTS: SYMBOLICS, SEMANTICS

Efimova Lyudmila Stepanovna, Afanas'ev N'urgun Vyacheslavovich
M.K. Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University

Abstract. The article examines the words-symbols of the Spirit-Host of Fire by the materials of a heroic epos - olonkho, ritual and shamanistic poetry of the Yakuts. The semantics of these words-symbols is analyzed. The authors think that through the symbolics and semantics it may be concluded about the archaism of the origin of the cult of the Fire Spirit. They suppose that words-symbols have a single, common origin with the vocabulary of the folklore of the Turkic-Mongolian peoples.
