BREAKING THE INTERLINGUAL NORM WHILE TRANSLATION

Abstract. The article examines some aspects of correlation between the original text and text for translation through the lenses of breaking an interlingual norm. The interlingual norm is defined as collection of rules to determine the correspondences between the items of the original and translating languages and as essential for this text taking into consideration the norms of a literary language and in accordance with a functional style. Special attention is paid to the analysis of examples of breaking the interlingual norm at the level of vocabulary, grammar and stylistics.
