MANIPULATIVE STRATEGY "ATTACKING THE TARGETS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL INFLUENCE" IN ACADEMIC DISCOURSE

Abstract. The article aims to study the realization of linguistic manipulation in academic discourse using the targets of psychological influence from the viewpoint "manipulator-teacher". The author identified a number of manipulative tactics representing the targets of psychological influence relevant for recipients - secondary and higher school students. The paper examines the communicative techniques implementing these manipulative tactics by the example of authentic situations in academic discourse.
