THE FUNCTIONS OF NON-TRANSLITERATED FRENCH ELEMENTS IN L. N. TOLSTOY’S DRAMATURGY

Abstract. The article examines the specifics of using foreign inclusions of French origin in L. N. Tolstoy’s dramaturgic works. Traditionally distinguished figurative and expressive functions of these units are concretized in relation to L. N. Tolstoy’s literary works. The author identifies the specifics of manifestation of these functions, their variations, concludes on their role in L. N. Tolstoy’s dramaturgy.
