FUNCTIONAL-SEMANTIC POTENTIAL OF ADDRESSES TO CLOSE ACQUAINTANCES AND RELATIVES IN THE KARACHAY-BALKAR LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article deals with the functional-semantic potential of addresses to friends and close relatives in the Karachay-Balkar language in various communicative situations, in rural and urban environment. The comparative analysis of traditional national and contemporary variants of addresses is conducted. It is concluded that not all addresses are frequently used at present; many of them make up the passive vocabulary.
