Abstract. The article presents an integrative model of teaching reading to students of a nonlinguistic institution of higher education as the component of professional activity of translation of scientific-technical texts in the area of Informatics and Computing Technology. Its theoretical substantiation is given. The efficiency of the proposed model is proved in an experimental way.
