LISTENERS AND AN EAVESDROPPER IN THE SITUATION OF GOSSIP

Abstract. The article discusses the different roles and degree of activity of various participants of the communicative situation of gossip (the creation and spreading) and the situation of eavesdropping. In this regard the author gives a brief overview of the already developed theoretical positions about the personal characteristics and communicative behaviour of the addressee in general and makes a number of observations in relation to the listener and the eavesdropper in the process of the spreading of insufficiently confirmed information.
