LEXICO-SEMANTIC GROUP OF THE TATAR REALIA "MEASURES AND MONEY" IN RELATION TO THEIR LACUNAS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article presents the results of comparing the lexico-semantic group of the Tatar realia "Measures and Money" with their lacunas in the English language. Referring to the classification of a group of culturally specific vocabulary - realia representing the specifics of Tatar culture - the author observes that this group is included into a larger group "Ethnographical realia". The paper also provides the semantic remoteness coefficient values for the lexico-semantic groups "Measures and Money", "Clothes", "Everyday vocabulary", "Food" and "Family and Neighbourhood".
