STEREOTYPING OF GLOBALIZATION PROCESSES REPRESENTATION IN THE MASS MEDIA (BY THE MATERIAL OF "INDEPENDENT NEWSPAPER" 2005-2010)

Abstract. The article examines a group of ideas associated with the coverage of globalization problems in the Russian high-quality press of the 2000s (by the materials of "Independent Newspaper"). Thematically these stereotypes are combined into four groups: discussions about the possibility of establishing a political multipolarity; third forces pressure; brain drain from the country; weak promotion of the Russian high technologies. With time these ideas have become stereotypes and prepared the correction of readers’ perception of the changes in the principles of the Russian foreign policy coverage, which occurred after the spring of 2014.
