REALIZATION OF VARIABILITY OF WORD-FORMATIVE MODELS IN LINGUISTIC REGISTER OF SCIENTIFIC DISCOURSE

Berseneva Natal'ya Sergeevna
Lomonosov Moscow State University

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of variability of word-formative models used to form meta-language of linguistics. The author examines the models of interaction between synonymic morphemes when forming derivative lexemes within the framework of linguistic terminology. The paper analyzes how the realization of variational relations depends on linguistic and extra-linguistic factors associated with the choice of specific affixes. The researcher concludes that the prevalence of a certain derivational model is conditioned by national traditions in the mentioned sphere.
