THE TYPOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF INSTITUTIONAL DISCOURSE CONSTRUCTION IN THE CROSS-CULTURAL SPACE

Abstract. In the article the importance of identifying the typologies of institutional discourse for its effective use in various sociocultural contexts is noted. By the example of academic discourse, the typology of its construction, applied in the western tradition in studying the peculiarities of creating a written discourse, is considered. The author studies each of the parameters of the typology and systematizes the differences that can be revealed in a research paper in Russian and English. It is concluded that the identification of typological characteristics of the construction of academic discourse in particular and institutional discourse in general contributes to understanding of its cross-cultural differences.
