VIRTUAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT MOODLE AS A TOOL FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCES OF STUDENTS-TRANSLATORS (BY THE EXAMPLE OF STUDYING PROFESSIONALLY ORIENTED THEORETICAL DISCIPLINES)

Abstract. In the article the possibilities of using the tools of the Moodle e-learning platform for the development of the professional competences of translation speciality students in the process of studying theoretical disciplines are analyzed. The organization of students’ self-guided work in the virtual learning environment allows creating special hyperspace that contributes to the formation of information competence, skills of linguistic and pre-translational analysis of text and discourse, as well as the ability to express correctly and logically their thoughts using the terminology of the disciplines under study.
