SEMANTICS OF EVALUATIVE SUFFIXES OF NOUNS IN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND THEIR EQUIVALENTS IN THE PERSIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract. In this article the semantics of nouns with the suffixes of subjective-evaluative meaning in Russian and their equivalents in Persian is presented. This work is very important, because these suffixes combine a variety of emotional shades; the formations having a purely diminutive meaning can often acquire different degrees of subjective evaluation in the context. The conclusions of the article can be used to enrich students’ speech, to identify possible ways of translating the meaning of diminutive-hypocoristic suffixes from Russian to Persian, and thereby to increase the interest in the subject.
