TRANSMISSION OF GENDER STEREOTYPES IN MODERN PUBLICISM (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE ANALYSIS OF ADVERBS ПО-ЖЕНСКИ / IN WOMEN’ S MANNER AND ПО-МУЖСКИ / IN MEN’S MANNER)

Abstract. The article on the basis of the analysis of adverbs "по-женски" / "in women’s manner" and "по-мужски" / "in men’s manner" functioning in the texts of mass media considers a set of gender stereotypes, which are fixed in the modern mass consciousness. It is shown that stereotypical ideas can be based both on objective biological properties (male strength, female weakness, high / low voice, etc.), and on qualities that are attributed to men and women by the symbolic culture of the society. The mass media, in addition to reflecting existing stereotypical ideas, influence the creation of new gender stereotypes.
