EXPLICATION OF THE CONCEPT CREATIVE SPIRIT IN THE NOVEL "MARTIN IDEN" BY J. LONDON

Abstract. The article reveals the content and describes the means of explication of the concept Creative Spirit in J. London’s novel "Martin Eden", interpreted as the key one in the conceptual coordinates of the work. The conceptual core, associative and figurative layers of the concept are analyzed, its axiological component is revealed. The author proves the functioning of the concept Creative Spirit as the representation of the meaning of life and the moving life impulse of the artist, the main characteristic of artistic consciousness.
