QUESTIONS OF STUDYING PHONETICS OF THE ABAZA LANGUAGE AT SCHOOL

Abstract. The article highlights the issues of the teacher’s work on orthoepic norms and articulatory features of the sounds of the Abaza language. The dependence of the effectiveness of the work on the level of knowledge of methodical techniques and features of phonetics and grammar is traced. Particular attention is paid to dialectal deviations from the literary norm in the field of phonetics and two- and three-letter designation of individual sounds of the Abaza language, 80 phonemes of which are expressed in the written form with 33 graphemes of Cyrillic alphabet and the additional sign of I.
