THE CONTRIBUTION OF THE RUSSIAN SCIENTISTS AND PHILOLOGISTS IN THE METHODOLOGY OF TEACHING LITERATURE: AREAS OF RESEARCH

Abstract. The article highlights some areas of activity of scholars-philologists (teaching at secondary and higher schools; participation in the creation of school curricula, textbooks and teaching aids; creation of academic courses, textbooks, directories addressed to students and teachers; performance as experts, reviewers; participation in discussions about school literary education; creation of fundamental works on topical problems of school literature teaching) and forms of practical use of their scientific works (selection of scientific works as a methodological basis in studies on the methodology of teaching literature; reference to scientific works in the educational literature and at the lessons when comparing interpretations of literary works), which can be considered as important areas of research in the field of theory and methodology of teaching literature. The study also presents the experience of cooperation of specialists in theory and history of literature, methodology of teaching literature and teachers in the preparation and holding of all-Russian Olympiad in literature.
