GENDER AS A LITERARY PROBLEM: THE METHODOLOGICAL ASPECT

Mankieva Eset Khamzatovna
Lomonosov Moscow State University

Abstract. The article considers the history of the formation of "women’s studies" as an integral part of anthropocentric philosophy and literary criticism based on the works of N. L. Pushkareva and L. D. Erokhina. The study shows the historical mobility of "gender" as a philosophical and aesthetic category, the qualitative content of which directly or indirectly depends on the value priorities of the era. The author conducts a diachronic analysis of "the gender discourse" of culture from antiquity to the era of critical realism, noting the pendulum fluctuation of feminine and masculine status in the public consciousness. The main methodological point of the article is reduced to the need to take into account "the directional factor" in analyzing the gender discourse of the literary text.
