Abstract. The article deals with the semantic and cognitive features of comparative construction of comparison in the framework of the linguistic and cognitive approach to the analysis of the comparison. The lexico-semantic analysis of components of the comparative constructions is performed. The study is based on the story "From the Life of Millionaires" by V. Tokareva.
