ART AS A SOURCE OF PRAGMATICS IN THE ENGLISH POLITICAL DISCOURSE

Abstract. Political discourse in art criticism periodicals is close to the addressee through a variety of pragmatic (including stylistic) means, a source of imagery in which are various aspects of art. By the example of the analysis of the newspaper materials from "The Art Newspaper" the article illustrates how political discourse codes are intertwined with the codes of pragmatic means ascending to art.
