BETWEEN REGIONAL AND RELIGIOUS: THE GERMAN DIALECTAL VOCABULARY IN DEFINING DICTIONARY

Abstract. The article analyzes the characteristics of lexicographical fixation of the modern German dialectal vocabulary with religious (confessional) specificity. The paper describes the features of dialectal marks localization in the structure of dictionary entries, analyzes thematic belonging of dialecticisms, explicating both regional and religious singularity. The analysis indicates the specific nature of the nominations and their anthropocentric orientation, the diffuse nature of the regional and the religious shows the functional limitation of these dialecticisms.
