THE GENDER PECULIARITIES OF AUTHOR’s DESCRIPTION OF NON-VERBAL EXPRESSION OF MEN’s AND WOMEN’S FEAR and ANGER IN POPULAR LITERATURE IN RUSSIA AND GERMANY

Surkova Elena Viktorovna
Volgograd State Technical University

Abstract. The article discusses the gender-marked ways of describing non-verbal expression of basic emotions - fear and anger - in the Russian and the German popular literature. Male authors’ and female authors’ texts are considered separately, as well as the ways of the description of men’s and women’s emotions. It is argued that the linguistic-culturological aspect of popular literature allows violating cultural stereotypes and uses linguistic descriptions of gender-unusual expressions of fear and anger.
