THE RUSSIAN VERSIFICATION OF THE XVII CENTURY AND MUSIC

Makarova Svetlana Anatol'evna
Moscow

Abstract. The article examines the complicated processes of the Russian literary verse formation in the XVII century: differentiation of word and music, formation of versified poetry and its relation with free verse, adoption of baroque and propagation of syllabic versification system in Russia. The analysis of poetic material testifies not for mechanistic borrowing of baroque esthetics but for deeply national developmental specifics of the first international trend in Russia and the first literary system of versification. The paper concludes that differentiating itself from music syllabic poetry of the second half of the XVII century managed to preserve specific vocal-musical formant manifesting itself in recitative declamation of poetical text.
