ANTHROPONYM TRANSLATION IN THE MODERN AMERICAN LEGAL THRILLER (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE NOVEL BY J. GRISHAM "THE CLIENT")

Abstract. The article analyzes techniques to translate anthroponyms in the modern American literary thriller. By the material of the novel by J. Grisham "The Client" the author identifies and describes the ways to translate English names and nicknames into Russian, establishes the most frequent techniques to translate anthroponyms in this literary genre. The paper concludes that the basic technique to translate anthroponyms in the modern literary genre "legal thriller" is transliteration with the elements of transcription.
