NAMES OF FISH OF THE TURKIC ORIGIN IN YAKUT

Nesterova Anna Semenovna
North-Eastern Federal University in Yakutsk

Abstract. This article is a continuation of earlier studies on the topic "The Yakut fishing vocabulary". Using the comparative method, the author singles out a fund of the Yakut names of fish of the Turkic origin, which appeared in Central Asia before the 1st century BC and served as a basis for the further development of fish names of the Yakut language. The consequences of the Yakuts’ contacts with different peoples (Mongolian-speaking, North-Tungus, Russian) can be traced in borrowed names of fish. Turkic in origin vocabulary is found throughout the evolution of the Yakut language.
Key words and phrases: якутский язык, происхождение, тюркский, лексика, названия рыб, контакты, заимствования, the Yakut language, origin, Turkic, vocabulary, names of fish, contacts, borrowings
