CATEGORIAL MODELING OF THE ENGLISH PHYSICAL TERMINOLOGY

Abstract. The article is devoted to the categorial analysis of the English physical terminology. The tasks of the work include the study of the logical-conceptual system of the highly specialized field of physical knowledge for the identification of universal conceptual categories with the purpose of the subsequent systematization of the terminology of physics. As a result of the research, the categorial model of the English terminology of the physics of low-dimensional systems is developed for the first time and the cases of categorial polysemy of physical terminology are revealed.
