THE AESTHETICS OF FONT IN THE REFORM OF THE RUSSIAN ALPHABET OF 1708

Abstract. The article deals with the aesthetic coordinates of the new grapheme of the Russian font of 1708 in the space of the Russian literature. The process of reforming the Russian alphabet, which took place in the period from 1708 to 1710, made a change in the genre parameters in the cultural text of the Russian letter, having defined two aesthetic vectors - religious and secular - in the sphere of literary expression of thought. The research is carried out with the help of hermeneutic and cultural-linguistic methods on the basis of the analysis of the reform essence of the Russian alphabet in 1708.
