THE TIME OF THE MAIN CHARACTER OF M. A. SHOLOKHOV’S NOVEL "AND QUIET FLOWS THE DON"

Abstract. The article deals with the time of the main character of M. A. Sholokhov’s novel "And Quiet Flows the Don". Particular attention is paid to the change in the perception of the time by Grigori Melekhov according to the events taking place in his life and in the world as a whole. As a result of the study of the lexemes and phraseological units with a temporal meaning in Grigori Melekhov’s speech, the peculiarities of the representation of temporality in the speech of the protagonist, which is formed on the basis of personal time experience, and associated with various experiences, are identified.
