VICTIMHOOD AND SACRIFICE IN I. ABUZYAROV’S PROSE: DECONSTRUCTION OF MYTHOLOGICAL PLOTS

Abstract. The article deals with the functioning of mythological plots about Ibrahim and Ismail and about Cain and Abel in the novels of the modern ethnically non-Russian Russian writer I. Abuzyarov "Kurban-novel" and "The novel with a victim". Structural-content levels are determined at which the theme of sacrifice is revealed: the rite of sacrifice is described; the theme of sacrifice is the main problem of the characters’ self-awareness and is transformed into a motive of self-sacrifice, finally, it functions at the level of musical allusions and reminiscences. The conclusion is made about the deconstruction of traditional mythological plots and the connection between the theme of self-sacrifice and the motive of forgiveness.
