THE CONNECTION BETWEEN TEACHING HIEROGLYPHIC WRITING OF CHINESE AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE AND SINGLING OUT ITS BASIC ELEMENT

Abstract. The issue of studying hieroglyphic writing is not sufficiently developed in the Russian and foreign teaching methods. To understand and solve the basic problems of teaching writing in Chinese, it is necessary to single out the notion of the basic element of the language and two conceptions: "a word as a basic element" and "an hieroglyph as a basic element". The use of one of the conceptions conditions the correspondence to the peculiarities of the Chinese language, the identification of the hieroglyphic writing place in its teaching, methods of presentation and hieroglyphic writing memorization.
