IMAGE MEDIA TEXT AND PR TEXT: SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES

Abstract. The article deals with the problem of identity of the following notions: image media text and PR text. These types of media texts have the same properties - initiation, optimization and selectivity and pursue similar goals - image formation and increase in publicity capital, which caused the erasure of conceptual differences between them both in the mass consciousness and in scientific literature. The examples given in the article demarcate these notions and characterize PR texts as a group of texts in a more general notion of image (image-making) texts.
