LITERARY PROCESS OF THE MIDDLE OF THE 1980S - THE BEGINNING OF THE XXI CENTURY: DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHUVASH POETRY

Abstract. The Chuvash literature of the late XX century is an insufficiently studied phenomenon. The objective of the article is to analyse the general state of the Chuvash poetry from the middle of the 1980s till the beginning of the XXI century. For the first time, the author distinguishes and characterizes three lines of national poetry: traditional lyrical, intellectual and song poetry. Special attention is paid to the creativity of bright young poets, who came to literature in the mid-1980s. The review allows the author to draw a conclusion that in this period the literary paradigm is changing: the character of the Chuvash literature in general and poetry in particular is being updated.
