HASHTAG TEXT AS A NEW TEXT FORMAT IN THE INTERNET SPACE (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE SOCIAL NETWORK "INSTAGRAM")

Abstract. The article discusses a rather new, but already popular linguistic phenomenon - hashtag, on the basis of which a new text format has appeared - a hashtag text. The main problem is the study of the characteristics of hashtag texts produced in the social network "Instagram". The author defines the term "text" and the new linguistic term "hashtag text", and also discusses their categorical features. The findings suggest that hashtag constructions have the right to be called hashtag texts, since they possess the same categorical features as ordinary texts.
