THE ROLE OF A SECONDARY TEXT IN THE FORMATION OF COHERENT SPEECH SKILLS AMONG FOREIGN STUDENTS STUDYING RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract. The article summarizes the attempt of using secondary texts when teaching coherent speech to the students studying Russian as a foreign language. The author emphasizes methodological advantages of a secondary text as a means of teaching, describes teacher’s and learners’ activity at the basic stages of working with the original text, proposes the variants of pre-, while- and post-reading tasks, introduces recommendations to form among the non-native students the skills and abilities necessary to create such type of a text.
