SOCIOCULTURAL POTENTIAL OF THE DISCIPLINE "FOREIGN LANGUAGE" IN FUTURE ECONOMISTS’ TRAINING

Abstract. The article discusses the role of the discipline "Foreign Language" in the formation of social responsibility and ecological worldview among future economists. Development of а student’s personality occurs in the period of revision of requirements, which modern society establishes for university graduates. The content of educational programs transforms into a complex sys-tem of universal human values and skills required by the world community and determined by its demands. Relying on the re-sults of a sociological survey among students the author concludes on the importance of studying socio-cultural aspects within this academic discipline.
