Dudina Galina Sergeevna
Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia

Abstract. Systematic studies of the mechanisms for the representation of energy policy and diplomacy in the Russian media have not been carried out. The article analyzes the coverage of the Nord Stream project by the Russian and German quality media in the 2000s. The author identifies the main news topics and problems, in the context of which the Russian and German media covered the energy dialogue between Russia and the European Union. The comparative analysis shows that the key difference in the presentation of material is formed by the choice of the context.
