TIME IN THE NOVEL "A SCHOOL FOR FOOLS" BY SASHA SOKOLOV

Ortanova Marina Khazhpagovna, Kudaeva Zinaida Zhantemirovna
Kudaeva Zinaida Zhantemirovna, Doctor in Philology, Professor Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov

Abstract. The article analyzes the philosophical views of Sasha Sokolov concerning one of the most important ontological problems - the category of time. Basing on the analysis of the novel "A School for Fools", as well as various philosophical concepts, it is revealed that by means of figurative characteristics and various literary techniques the prose writer revises the concept of the existence of linear time and embodies in his work a model of static time, according to which all events exist in present. The writer seeks to expose and reproduce the fragility and ephemerality of human existence, its non-materialism and the lack of factual reliability. The ideological position of Sasha Sokolov is close to the postulates of Plato’s philosophy and its ideas about "static time" and "dynamic time".
