COGNITIVE MECHANISM TO FORM THE TEACHER’S IMAGE IN STUDENTS’ NATIONAL LINGUISTIC CONSCIOUSNESS

Abstract. Using a systemic approach the authors identify a cognitive system-formative mechanism to form the teacher’s image in linguistic consciousness of Russian and French students. The paper introduces the concept of a professional code, which is considered as a type of cultural codes associated with the teacher’s professional activity. By the content analysis of associative responses the authors identify and examine the components of the analyzed image. The analysis of the experiment data has shown certain discrepancies in the structure of the ethno-cultural component of the cognitive mechanism of the teacher’s image formation.
