Abstract. The article reveals the content of the notions "concept" and "conceptualization", which are one of the key ones in the study of problems within the anthropocentric paradigm. Explication of the meanings of these terms is carried out with the help of the English-language authoritative online dictionaries and materials of foreign researchers in the field of linguistic conceptology. The work also analyzes approaches to the explication of the concept as a linguistic term, presented in foreign publications. As a result of the research, the author has compared the lexical units of "concept" and "conceptualization" in different sources, and has identified approaches to the definition of these terms as well.
