ETHNO-POETICS OF EREMEI AIPIN’S EARLY STORIES (BY THE MATERIAL OF THE CYCLE "THE TIME OF RAINS")

Abstract. The article considers the national specificity of the Khanty writer E. Aipin’s creative work. Using the comparative analysis method the author examines the writer’s early stories included in the cycle "The Time of Rains". The research findings indicate that ethno-poetics of the mentioned stories is based on the elements of oral tradition. The texts contain the insertions of mythological storylines and motives representing the unique Khanty mentality closely associated with the natural world. Its peculiarities are clearly represented in Aipin’s prose.
