LEXICO-STYLISTIC PECULIARITIES OF INTERNET COMMUNICATION (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE GERMAN INTERNET SERVICE INSTAGRAM)

Abstract. The article identifies the peculiarities of Internet communication from the viewpoint of vocabulary and style. On the basis of complex analysis of Instagram messages the author reveals that in the virtual communicative space the so called "Internet language" prevails. The paper also justifies the thesis that the most important stylistic peculiarity of computer interaction is the usage of both verbal and non-verbal means of informational interaction by Internet communicants, including the exchange of emotive information. The author concludes on multi-modal nature of virtual communication.
