VERBAL MANIPULATION IN THE CONTEXT OF INTERCULTURAL FOREIGN-LANGUAGE EDUCATION: THE NOTION INTERPRETATION

Abstract. The article reveals the meaning of the notion "verbal manipulation" in the context of intercultural foreign-language education. The author analyzes the existing interpretations of "verbal manipulation" in the context of philosophical, psychological, politological, linguistic knowledge and introduces her own definition of the analyzed term from the viewpoint of linguo-didactics. Special attention is paid to the fact that intercultural foreign-language education requires the development of practical solutions to overcome manipulative influence of the media communicative space.
