Abstract. The purpose of the article is to consider the main peculiarities of such types of semantically complicated sentences of the English language as sentences with adjectival complicators related to the object of the matrix sentence. Different types of correlations between the semantics of the matrix and the included sentences are shown. It is proved that the adjectival complicator in the function of the isolated attribute is a universal form of structuring an additional predicate. The main function of sentences with adjectival complicators is the expression of supplementary predicativity in sentences with the subject - animate being, which differ in a wide range of semantic features. This article contributes to the semantic analysis of the sentence, as well as to the development of modern semantic syntax.
Key words and phrases: пропозиция, адъективный компликатор, предикативное определение, дополнение, предикативность, матричное предложение, тип ситуации, аргументная роль, proposition, adjectival complicator, predicative attribute, object, predicativity, matrix sentence, type of situation, argumentative role
