Abstract. The article provides the comparative-contrastive analysis of Russian and German interjections, which allows the authors to identify similarities and differences in their structure, semantics and functional peculiarities. Russian and German interjections are divided into the same categories and obey practically the same grammatical rules; they have their own syntactical compatibility and semantic component. These linguistic units have their own morphology and are divided into simple, complex and compound ones. Both in the Russian and German languages grammatical means to form interjections include the following ones: repetition, substantivization, derivation or word-formation.
Key words and phrases: сравнительный анализ, междометия, простые междометия, сложные междометия, составные междометия, семантическая составляющая, comparative analysis, interjections, simple interjections, complex interjections, compound interjections, semantic component
