WAYS OF PRAGMATIC CLICH?S TRANSLATION FROM TATAR INTO RUSSIAN

Submitted: 13.04.2018
Abstract. The present study is devoted to the pragmatic clich?s of the Tatar language and their translation into Russian. This topic is of high scientific interest, since pragmatic clich?s are vivid, imaginative expressions, the quintessence of the national mentality and culture. To date, the pragmatic clich?s of the Tatar language are studied poorly. The pragmatic clich?s that serve as the material for the research have been selected by the method of continuous sampling from the Tatar-Russian phraseological dictionary by F. S. Safiullina. Their semantic and structural analysis is carried out. The examples of all the identified types of structural and grammatical organization and semantic belonging of pragmatic clich?s with the brief etymological reference on the origin of the clich? are given. The author describes the ways of pragmatic clich?s translation in the Tatar-Russian dictionary, such as using an equivalent, calque and analogue. The diversity of the languages complicates the translation process, but the similarity of the notions, on which the pragmatic clich? is based, allows us to choose a full or approximate analogue. The material can be further successfully used in lexicographical activities and language classes.
