MEANING CONSTRUCTION IN CASE OF DELIBERATE VERBAL AMBIGUITY

Ustinova Tat'yana Viktorovna
Omsk State Pedagogical University

Submitted: 05.09.2019
Abstract. The article aims to identify the parameters to construct actual verbal meaning in the situation of semantic conflict. The originality of the study involves considering the meaningful perception of an ambiguous statement as purposeful cognitive activity based on universal principles regardless of the ambiguity level. The research findings have allowed the author to represent meaning construction as a process of dynamic conceptualization determined by systemic linguistic factors, pragmatic conditions and the conceptualizer’s subjective characteristics.
